At Salford Van Hire, we pride ourselves on being transparent and fair with all our customers. From start to finish, our goal is to make your vehicle hire experience as smooth and straightforward as possible.
From time to time, certain administrative charges may apply: particularly when it comes to parking or driving offences incurred during a hire period.
Why an Admin Charge Applies
When a hired vehicle is involved in a parking, speeding, or other traffic offence, the notice is sent directly to us as the registered owner of the vehicle. Our team must then identify the driver, process the documentation, and forward the details to the relevant authority.
This admin process takes time and resources, which is why an administration charge of £35.00 + VAT (£42.00 total) is applied for each offence we handle on your behalf.
Timing of Charges
Please note that some offences are not received immediately, in fact, many arrive after the vehicle has been returned. When this happens, the charge is still processed against the payment card used for the hire, and you’ll be notified accordingly.
What This Covers
The admin fee is not the fine itself it covers the cost of handling and processing the documentation only. The actual fine or penalty remains payable directly to the issuing authority.
Keeping It Simple
We always recommend:
- Checking and following local parking and traffic rules carefully.
- Ensuring any tickets received during your hire are settled promptly.
- Contacting our team if you receive a notice you’re unsure about.
At Salford Van Hire, transparency and fairness are key. Our admin fee simply ensures that the necessary legal paperwork is managed efficiently, protecting both our customers and our business from unnecessary delays.
